DC Jow Ga Federation

The DC Jow Ga Federation promotes and teaches Jow Ga Kung Fu in memory of the late Master Dean Chin, who established the Jow Ga Kung Fu Association and opened the first Jow Ga academy in the Western hemisphere after arriving in the United States in 1966. The federation shares knowledge from this lineage with people interested in learning, regardless of their martial arts style or background. Its educational resources include a public blog and YouTube channel featuring material on Jow Ga history, skills, forms, techniques, and philosophy.

Supporting members can access a growing library of videos and books. The federation also offers an ongoing online training program with prerecorded and live classes, access to training materials and forms, and opportunities to attend exclusive training camps and seminars. The program includes distance and in-person exams and grants rank.

The organization also highlights its members and their work, including community-based instruction through the Rhode Island Kung Fu Club, a nonprofit founded by federation member Sifu Luyi Shao
