In 2018, the company entered a transitional period with 神戲劇場's co-founder 甄詠蓓 (Elena Kong) stepping down as artistic director and establishing her own theatre studio, 甄詠蓓戲劇工作室. 張珮華 also holds the position of executive director at 同窗文化工作室, where she works as a scriptwriter and producer for independent stage productions. The name 神戲劇場 is derived from Dionysus, the Greek god of joy and harvest, and the protector of Greek theatrical culture.
