Den Danske Frimurerorden

The Danish Order of Freemasons is an independent fraternal organization where men from different ages, professions, and backgrounds meet to pursue personal development and reflect on their values. Rooted in a Christian foundation, the Order emphasizes charity, tolerance, compassion, and the equal worth of all people. Its educational approach encourages members to cultivate virtue, gain self-understanding, and bring greater meaning to everyday life.

Members gather in lodges for ritual work and social fellowship. The Order shares information about its purpose, history, values, and charitable activities, while keeping its rituals private so that new and current members can experience them firsthand. Lodge life also offers opportunities to form lasting friendships and take part in cultural activities, including concerts, lectures, museum visits, and excursions. Family and work commitments are given priority, and participation is intended to fit around them. The Order supports prospective members with information meetings and guidance from two sponsors, who help them settle into lodge life and understand its traditions. Its history in Denmark dates to the eighteenth century.
