DDJRU

Drummoyne District Junior Rugby Union Club, known as the Dirty Reds, is a community rugby union club based in Drummoyne, Sydney. Backed by the Drummoyne Seniors Club, whose history dates to 1874, the juniors welcome players of all abilities from under-six to under-17. Their home ground is Taplin Park.

The club offers a junior player pathway that introduces children to rugby skills, tactics and modified game situations in a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment. It emphasises participation, sportsmanship and fair play, while helping young players build confidence, coordination, fitness and social skills. The club’s approach is summed up by its inclusive spirit: every player gets a run.

Families can register for the season and attend Come Try Rugby sessions, which offer coached activities and introductory experiences for new players. The club also promotes training, season-launch events and development programs, including coach education. Supporters can shop for Dirty Reds merchandise through the club’s online store.
