About De rose en rose
De Rose en Rose is an association based in Chamboeuf, in France’s Loire department, dedicated to celebrating the Meilland rose and its connection to the village. Its story reflects the local roots of Antoine Meilland, who was born in Chamboeuf in 1884. Today, visitors can explore a village garden route featuring more than 6,500 Meilland rose bushes, planted throughout the village.
The route is freely accessible, and the association offers guided visits during the flowering season. It also welcomes visitors to the Maison de la Rose, inaugurated in 2014 during the village’s Rose Festival. The Maison is open seasonally, with free admission.
Through its website and visitor activities, De Rose en Rose shares information about the association, the village, the garden, the history of the Meilland family, rose cultivation, planting and pruning. Chamboeuf received a fourth flower distinction in 2021 and the Fleur d’Or in 2024. The association invites people to discover the village garden and learn more about its rose heritage
