In 2016, Olivier Souquet architect founded DE-SO Asia. The agency is a Vietnamese company fulfilling all the administrative conditions of practice and the knowledge of Vietnamese regulations and standards. Since 2008, the DE-SO Asia agency continuously wins recognition on the Vietnamese scene of architecture and urban planning, through carried out projects and numerous won competitions. DE-SO Asia projects are of all scales; from regional urban planning to architectural design, from north to south of the country, in rural or urban areas, in the mountains or in mangrove areas. DE-SO Asia collaborates with several private investors, the people’s committees of major cities (such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang), the Construction Departments of different cities, the National Urban Planning Agency, the VIUP. Thanks to an extensive network of local and international partners, a strong connection with professionals in Vietnam and France, DE-SO Asia has the ability to offer a complete set of services ranging from urban planning to urban design, tourism projects, residential housing, education, culture, heritage sites, etc. Our identity is based on our ethics, our in-depth expertise of the specificities of the Vietnamese territory and a proven construction know-how for 30 years. All our projects pay special attention to their environment, their climate, their topography, as well as to the harmonious integration of local practices, cultural identity and local materials, geomancy and Feng Shui. In the context of ecological and climate changes occurring on a global scale, our environmental concern in the broad sense translates into sustainable construction, the detailed study of the tropical environment, the optimisation of costs and materials (short circuits) , the prioritisation of natural materials.
