The practice provides funeral guidance, helping clients plan and shape a funeral according to their wishes. Karin can coordinate practical arrangements, including care and presentation of the deceased, transport, printed materials and communication with relevant organizations and service providers. She also guides and leads the funeral service, or supports clients who wish to take a more active role themselves.

As a ceremony writer and speaker, Karin creates and delivers personal texts for funerals, retirement speeches and life stories. De Afscheidspraktijk also offers loss and grief coaching, providing a confidential space to talk through emotions and life changes and find ways to cope. Support is tailored to each person and situation, with time, care and attention throughout the process.
