De Anbragtes Vilkår (DAV) is a Danish interest organization for people who are currently or formerly placed in care. It is a community for, with and led by people with care experience, working toward a safe childhood and better conditions for children and young people in care. The organization brings their perspectives into public debate and decision-making through advocacy, policy development and consultation responses on legislation and reforms affecting the care system.
DAV also supports practical improvements in services for children and young people. Its work includes practice development, recommendations on education and school attendance, guidance on support for young people, and resources to promote participation and influence in decisions. The organization shares information through a knowledge library and materials for professionals, schools and others involved in care.
DAV offers opportunities to connect and take part through membership, events, forums, speaking and writing initiatives for young people, and public activities. It also works with municipalities and partner organizations to ensure that lived experience informs practice and policy.
