The Herner Eissportverein recently bid farewell to several key players following their playoff exit against the Blue Devils Weiden in the Round of 16. During the farewell event at the Hannibal-Arena, the club honored two standout players. "Bürgermeister" Nils Liesegang, with over 700 points in more than 385 games for HEV, announced his retirement, marking the end of his illustrious career that began in 2004.
Benjamin Hüfner, a defenseman with three DEL2 championships, also received a grand send-off. Notably, other players like Marlon Polter and Tobias Stolikowski were also acknowledged. Additionally, Matteo Stöhr extended his contract with the Miners for the upcoming season.
As HEV navigates these transitions, they continue to engage with players to shape their roster for the future. Stay tuned for more updates and news from the Herner Eissportverein
