de Batavier

ZRMV De Batavier is a watersports association and marina in Niftrik, in the municipality of Wijchen, near the Maas between Ravenstein and Grave. Formed from three separate watersports clubs—the Batavier, Viking and Vahalis—the association is governed by an elected board accountable to its members. Members pay membership and mooring fees and contribute one volunteer day each year to maintaining the harbour and grounds.

The marina welcomes members and visiting boaters, with moorings, renewed pontoons, shore power and water points. It also offers camper pitches and round-the-clock access to showers, toilets and a laundry building with washing machines. Nearby, a recreation lake provides opportunities for sailing, surfing and swimming in a natural setting.

At the heart of the harbour is De Kink, the association’s clubhouse, where visitors can enjoy a bar, meals from the menu and a terrace overlooking the marina. De Batavier also supports sailing and rowing activities, including sloop rowing.
