Debreceni Hospice Ház

Debreceni Hospice Ház Alapítvány is a nonprofit foundation established in 2015 to support hospice care in Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary. Its mission is to help ensure that people facing incurable illness, and their loved ones, are not alone during the final stages of life. The foundation promotes dignity, compassionate accompaniment and awareness of hospice and palliative care, working alongside healthcare professionals, volunteers and partner organisations.

Its work has contributed to the establishment of an inpatient hospice care unit and to the availability of home nursing support. The foundation also runs the Field of Dignity awareness programme, which encourages care and highlights the value of every stage of life. Further activities include volunteer involvement, educational initiatives, public events and participation in national and international conferences. Through news, publications and student arts and writing projects, it helps bring conversations about end-of-life care to a wider audience.

The organisation welcomes support through one-time or monthly online donations, bank transfers, donations of goods or services, and Hungary’s annual one-percent tax allocation.
