De Denkschool

De Denkschool is a Dutch philosophy education and training partnership that helps children and adults develop thoughtful, independent ways of thinking. Founded in 2015, the organisation brings together philosophers with more than 30 years of experience in guiding philosophical learning. Its approach is practical and accessible, encouraging people to think critically, creatively, logically and inquisitively, rather than telling children what to think.

For schools and education professionals, De Denkschool offers tailored training in children’s philosophy, including a level 2 course accredited by CKN. It also provides philosophy sessions, workshops, team training and longer-term projects that can be adapted to school or organisational needs. For businesses and other organisations, workshops address topics such as ethical decision-making, clarifying concepts, Socratic dialogue and asking effective questions. De Denkschool also creates educational materials on request and offers masterclasses. Its Denkgereedschap resources include teaching materials, articles, books and videos to support philosophical practice. Across its programmes, the school aims to help people understand their own thinking and respond flexibly to the challenges they encounter.
