DeD Púchov

Centrum pre deti a rodiny Púchov is a Slovak state-funded organization providing care and support to children who cannot temporarily live in their natural or alternative family environment, typically under a court decision or other legal measure. Located on Štefánikova Street in Púchov, the centre is established by Slovakia’s Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family and operates under child-protection legislation.

The centre provides comprehensive, individualized care for children, including those with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities and serious health needs. Support is delivered through specialized groups at its main building, a family-style group home in Horné Kočkovce, and eight professional substitute families across the Púchov, Ilava and Žilina districts. Since 2019, its services have also included outpatient and field-based social and child-protection support, with social workers and psychologists serving families in Púchov and Považská Bystrica. The centre aims to promote children’s healthy development, help families manage crises and work collaboratively with relatives and partner institutions.
