DeepBEAT, short for Deep Exploration Boosted by Advanced Exploration Technologies, is an international research project focused on improving mineral exploration in Europe. Bringing together scientific and industry partners, including geological surveys, research institutes and Beak Consultants GmbH, the project studies how critical and strategic raw material deposits form and how they can be identified more effectively.

Its work develops and applies advanced, data-driven and lower-impact exploration methods, including surface sampling of plants, soil, rocks and stream sediments, as well as technologies such as portable XRF and LIBS. Field activities in areas including the Ore Mountains and Hůrky support research into mineral potential beneath the surface. DeepBEAT also promotes the use of digital approaches and innovative technologies to make exploration more efficient while reducing environmental impacts.

Alongside its research, the project shares findings through meetings, symposium presentations, publications and social media. Community events and public discussions help local stakeholders learn about exploration activities, ask questions and share perspectives.
