Deep Dixie Association – Pleasure is an equestrian club serving members across Southwest Georgia and North Florida. Alongside its counterpart, Deep Dixie Association – Running, it belongs to the Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs. The organization brings riders together for a seasonal program of competitions, community participation, and opportunities to represent the association at state level.
Its October-to-May season features four shows, including two double-judged events. Classes span Halter, English, Western, Ranch Horse, Reining, and Racking categories, offering a range of disciplines for participating exhibitors. The association tracks members’ points throughout the season and presents year-end awards. The top six exhibitors in each Federation class qualify to represent Deep Dixie at the Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs State Show, held over Labor Day weekend at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry.
Deep Dixie and its Running partners have earned Georgia State Champion honors in multiple years, including a run from 2000 to 2009 and further titles in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2020.
