Deep RootsBirth and Wellness

Deep Roots Birth and Wellness is a women-focused healthcare practice based in Kalona, Iowa, serving nearby small towns and rural communities. Its approach emphasizes whole-person well-being, including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social health. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, the practice works with clients to explore possible root causes and supports them in becoming informed, active participants in their care.

Services include hormone health and fertility consultations, integrative wellness support, and midwifery care for home birth. The midwifery team, led by Certified Nurse Midwife Kim Brenneman and supported by registered nurses with labor and delivery experience, helps clients prepare for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Deep Roots also offers IV infusion therapy and Meadow Massage, which is described as a way to relieve stress and soreness. Educational resources, including blog articles and a health course library, extend the practice’s guidance beyond appointments. Its apothecary features recommended products aligned with a natural, root-cause approach to health. Deep Roots aims to help women build lasting wellness through personalized care, education, and support.
