Deerlick Astronomy Village (DAV) is an innovative community developed by a group of amateur astronomers from Atlanta, dedicated to creating the ultimate astronomy site in one of Georgia's darkest regions. Spanning 96 acres, DAV offers astronomers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the cosmos while enjoying essential comforts. The village features expansive, cleared spaces with wide-open horizons, ideal for stargazing.

DAV provides various options for members, including long-term leased plots perfect for building observatories, such as roll-off-roofs or domes. With annual field memberships, members gain access to shared facilities, including restrooms, a picnic pavilion, and nature trails, fostering a sense of community among astronomy enthusiasts. Additionally, larger lots of at least 1.5 acres are available for purchase, allowing residents to construct log cabins or homes, complete with permanent observatories. Enjoy the serenity of the countryside while embracing the wonders of the night sky at Deerlick Astronomy Village.
