De Groenen 'Of

Zorgboerderij De Groenen ’Of is a small care farm in Kloosterzande, in the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen region of the Netherlands. It provides daytime activities and personal support for young people and adults with a range of care needs, including mild intellectual disabilities, developmental disorders, social-emotional challenges and psychological difficulties. The farm focuses on each person’s abilities, helping participants discover their talents, build confidence, and maintain or develop practical skills.

A safe, welcoming environment, personal attention and meaningful activity are central to its approach. Qualified support workers and volunteers guide participants with respect and equality, drawing on Gentle Teaching and the Gordon method. The farm’s everyday routines offer structure, while its outdoor setting provides room to relax and stay active. Participants can take part in useful work suited to their interests, share healthy meals and connect with others.

Additional activities include the Pony Club, where participants care for and ride ponies at their own level; a cooking group focused on learning and teamwork; and group outings to discover new places and experiences.
