Degudap

Degudap is a Belgian veterinary practice specialising in poultry health and serving clients across multiple parts of the poultry sector. Its team of 14 poultry veterinarians works in both broiler and laying-hen production. The practice supports individual poultry farms as well as integrated businesses, hatcheries and breeding organisations, offering services tailored to the needs of these operations. Degudap also serves clients beyond Belgium through Vet’Alliance in Bailleul, in Hauts-de-France, and Poulvet in Breda, which serves customers in the south of the Netherlands.

For private bird owners, the practice provides care through Medibird, where veterinarians Emiel Demeester and Niels Normon see ornamental, sporting and hobby birds by appointment. The service covers a wide range of birds, including chickens, pigeons, songbirds, parrots and other hooked-bill species, waterfowl and birds of prey. Degudap’s website provides information about its services and team, alongside news, instructional videos on Salmonella sampling and a webshop. Clients can contact the practice by phone or email, while private bird owners can arrange appointments directly with Medibird.
