The DEG, or the Database Enhancement Gateway, is a brand dedicated to improving the quality and accuracy of collision repair estimates. By gathering feedback from the collision repair industry and other end users, the DEG identifies and addresses errors, omissions, and inaccuracies in the database and labor times. Created and maintained by the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers and the Society of Collision Repair Specialists, the DEG aims to overcome the challenges of developing complete and accurate labor times for the thousands of operations performed on vehicle models.
Today's estimating databases are complex, and the DEG ensures that these databases reflect real-world labor requirements, empowering estimators to consistently produce accurate repair estimates. Discover how the DEG works and learn about the inquiry process to make more informed and precise collision repair estimates
