About Dein-Sternenkind
Dein-Sternenkind is a foundation that offers support and guidance to parents who have either lost a child or are facing the imminent loss of a newborn. Founded by Kai Gebel in 2013, the organization provides the gift of professional memorial photos as a means of improved grieving and support for families. With over 600 photographers involved, Dein-Sternenkind offers their services for free, ensuring that these memories can be cherished forever.
The foundation has received numerous accolades and awards, including the 2020 PR-BILD Award and the 2017 German Engagement Award. Additionally, the organization has been recognized for its impact and dedication, winning the 2017 Smart Hero Award and being named the 2014 "Initiative of the Year" by Axel Springer SE.
