Deirdre Knight Centre

Deirdre Knight Centre is a Forfar-based adult day care service operated by Forfar Day Care Centre, a charity registered in Scotland. It supports adults and older people who experience social isolation and loneliness alongside physical or mental disabilities. Its purpose is to offer a friendly, supportive setting where members can connect with others and maintain independence, privacy, dignity, choice, safety, motivation, and a sense of purpose.

The purpose-built centre is fully accessible and features bright lounges, a kitchen for member activities, outdoor space for gardening and fresh air, a quiet room, and a smaller lounge for people who need rest or time away from group activities. The centre provides person-centred therapeutic activities designed to encourage people to heal, grow, and thrive while enjoying themselves. A two-course lunch is served daily, with hot and cold drinks available throughout the day. The organisation also shares transport information and welcomes people who wish to join or support the centre through donations.
