DEJURE Foundation

DEJURE Foundation is a Ukrainian civil society think tank founded in 2016 to advance the rule of law and reform the justice system. Its name draws on “Democracy, Justice, Reforms” and the Latin phrase meaning “according to law.” The organization combines research, public advocacy and practical tools to promote fair, transparent and effective justice for everyone.

Its work focuses on integrity in the judiciary, openness and efficiency of courts, legal education and access to the legal profession, and the legal profession itself. DEJURE publishes analytical reports, data and commentary on courts, judges and justice reforms, and monitors progress on changes relevant to Ukraine’s European integration. The foundation also develops resources for public use, including the Disciplinator legal chatbot, a disciplinary complaint builder, and a searchable database of judicial disciplinary cases in criminal proceedings. These tools help users find legal information, prepare complaints and review judicial practice. DEJURE offers expert legal commentary to the media and invites individuals and partners to support its work toward a fairer justice system in Ukraine.
