De Laatste Eer Warns

De Laatste Eer Warns is a nonprofit funeral association founded in Warns in 1917. It helps members and their families arrange a funeral in keeping with the wishes of the deceased and their next of kin, while offering practical support during a difficult time. With the family’s agreement, the association can take care of tasks such as registering a death with the civil authorities and preparing a burial or cremation. This assistance gives loved ones more time to grieve and prepare for the farewell.

For a modest membership contribution, members receive practical help, a discount on funeral services and free use of the association’s materials. De Laatste Eer Warns also has its own pallbearers, who can assist at a funeral if requested. The association operates without a profit motive, so benefits are intended to serve its members. It is affiliated with the Federation of Funeral Associations of Friesland. People interested in joining can contact the association’s secretary, while its funeral coordinator is available around the clock when a death occurs.
