Delehanty Funeral Home has been providing compassionate funeral services to the Wappingers Falls community since its establishment in 1939. Led by a team of dedicated professionals, including licensed funeral directors Michael McBride, Stephanie Strelecki, Kevin Delehanty (Funeral Director Emeritus), John Ciolko, and Christine Galvin, the funeral home offers a range of services to help families honor and remember their loved ones. Throughout its history, Delehanty Funeral Home has undergone various developments to enhance its facilities and services.
In 1945, after World War II, the business resumed at its original location on Mesier Avenue. In 1947, they acquired the present building, and in 1981, an addition was completed, doubling its size. The funeral home also acquired the adjacent property in 1997 to provide a spacious parking area for the convenience of visitors.
In 2020, Kevin Delehanty passed on the legacy to the McBride family, who continue the tradition of family-owned service to the community. Under their leadership, the funeral home underwent a full interior renovation in 2021 to create a comforting and modern atmosphere. At Delehanty Funeral Home, their compassionate staff is committed to guiding families through the funeral planning process, offering personalized services to honor the life of their loved ones
