The Delmarva Tractor Pullers Association, Inc. (DTPA) is an organization formed in 2013 to promote fun, family-friendly tractor-pulling events. Based on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the association holds events from Tolchester to Pocomoke City and in Delaware at the Delaware State Fair. Many pulls take place alongside local fairs and festivals, bringing the sport to community audiences.
DTPA keeps its events close to tractor pulling’s agricultural roots. While modern pulling can feature highly modified tractors and trucks at large venues, the association’s members favor tractors built mainly in the 1940s and 1950s, with comparatively modest modifications. The website provides an event calendar, schedules, results, points standings, notices, rules, and photo albums, helping visitors and members follow the season and learn about events.
The association offers voting, associate, and one-day memberships. Associate or one-day membership is required to participate in a DTPA event. It also recognizes support from regional sponsors, including agricultural and hardware businesses.
