Dementia Australia is the national peak body supporting Australians affected by dementia. It provides information, advice and practical support to people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers, as well as services for professionals. Its resources cover dementia types, diagnosis, treatment, brain health and prevention, daily life, care options and later stages.

The free National Dementia Helpline offers confidential expert assistance by phone, live chat, email and personal referral, around the clock throughout the year. Other services include peer support, counselling, post-diagnostic support, education sessions, Memory Lane Cafes, a library and resources in more than 40 languages. Dementia Australia also delivers professional development and training, supports research and funds emerging researchers through the Dementia Australia Research Foundation.

The organisation works to improve awareness, influence policy and make communities more inclusive through advocacy, its Dementia Advocates Program and dementia-friendly initiatives. People can contribute through donations, fundraising, volunteering, partnerships and research participation.
