Der Demeter e.V. ist der älteste Bioverband in Deutschland. Schon seit 1924 bewirtschaften Demeter-Landwirte ihre Felder biodynamisch. Aufgrund der lebendigen Kreislaufwirtschaft gilt die Demeter-Landwirtschaft als nachhaltigste Form der Landbewirtschaftung und geht weit über die Vorgaben der EU-Öko-Verordnung hinaus. Die Biologisch-Dynamische Wirtschaftsweise geht auf Impulse Rudolf Steiners zurück, der Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts auch Waldorfpädagogik und anthroposophische Heilweise initiierte. About Demeter e.V.
Demeter Deutschland is the oldest organic association in Germany, dedicated to biodynamic farming since 1924. Their farming methods go beyond the requirements of EU organic regulations, making it the most sustainable form of agriculture. Demeter believes in the holistic approach to farming, where humans, animals, plants, and soil work together to create a living system.
They only keep as many animals as their land can sustain, ensuring their well-being and using their waste to enrich the soil. Demeter also opposes genetic engineering and instead focuses on breeding plants and animals that are adapted to organic farming, promoting diversity and high-quality food that tastes exceptional. In addition to producing organic food, Demeter farms often serve as social hubs, fostering integration, educational initiatives, and solidary community-supported farming.
