Democracy Watch

Democracy Watch is a national non-profit organization in Canada that is dedicated to promoting democratic reform, government accountability, and corporate responsibility. Their mission is to make governments and corporations more accountable to the public and to clean up the political system. They have been highly successful in advocating for and achieving systemic changes to key laws in Canada since their establishment in 1993.

In fact, they have won over 200 changes to federal and provincial good government and corporate responsibility laws, many of which are recognized globally. Democracy Watch advocates for 100 key changes for democratic good government across Canada, as well as 15 key changes to ensure that Canada's banks and businesses act responsibly. They are supported solely by donations from individuals and citizen groups, and without this support, they cannot continue their vital work.
