The Democrats is an Israeli Zionist social-democratic, center-left political party established in June 2024 through the merger of the Labor Party and Meretz. Led by Yair Golan, it presents itself as a major force in Israel’s democratic-liberal camp, with a mission to strengthen and rebuild the country as a just, secure and democratic society. The party brings together elected representatives, activists and local communities, and invites supporters to join, volunteer and contribute.

Its policy platform covers security, democracy and the rule of law, social and economic priorities, education, and the relationship between religion and state. It also advocates action against organized crime and violence, environmental protection and climate resilience, and equal rights and safety for LGBTQ+ people.
