Schutterij St. Michaël Doenrade is a local Dutch shooting association with a history connected to the village of Doenrade and the wider Limburg schutterij tradition. The association’s banner gives 1848 as its founding year, although the date marks the separation of the Doenrade company from Schutterij St. Lambertus Oirsbeek. A central event is the Bondsschuttersfeest, a regional gathering featuring participating shooting associations, a parade, competitions and live entertainment. The 2024 celebration took place on 11 and 12 May in Doenrade. Its Saturday programme included a free-entry concert by Blizzert, an interactive band known for energetic performances. Sunday’s activities included the arrival of the participating associations, the festival opening, a parade and grounds competitions, followed by music in the event tent. The advertised performers included DJ Roger, Tiroler Teufel and Legendary, a classic rock act. Through its events and community presence, Schutterij St. Michaël celebrates local heritage while welcoming guests to experience the festivities.
