About Dev’t Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations
Welcome to DENIVA, the Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations in Uganda. As a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), we provide a platform for collective reflection, action, and voice to voluntary local associations, advocating for people-centered, accountable, and sustainable development. Founded in 1988, DENIVA has grown to over 700 Member Organizations (MO), located in all regions of Uganda.
We are committed to building a vibrant civil society by supporting the capacity building of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) through research, proposal development, and facilitation. Our focus areas include sustainable livelihoods and climate change adaptation, advocacy, governance, and human rights. We also have a Quality Assurance Mechanism (QuAM) in place to promote ethical standards and operational norms among certified NGOs.
By joining DENIVA, you can enjoy membership benefits and contribute to our mission of transforming and empowering communities in Uganda. Contact us to learn more or get involved today!
