It is intended for retainers, dentures, mouthguards, and other appliances, combining cleaning with disinfection. The company reports that clinical testing showed DentaSOAK can reduce recoverable oral microbes on an appliance by at least 99%, including Candida albicans. DentaSOAK is sold in three-month starter and refill kits. Both include 13 single-use liquid concentrate packets and 13 powder concentrate packets, pre-measured for weekly preparation. The starter kit also contains an appliance cup with a removable tray; the refill kit does not. After mixing, the solution is ready for use, and appliances are immersed for 15 minutes.
