About Denton Parks Foundation
Denton Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the Denton community's quality of life by enhancing the city's parks and recreational facilities. Since its establishment in 1987, Denton Parks Foundation has collaborated with the City of Denton, corporations, foundations, and individuals to bridge the gap between the park's needs and available tax dollars. Their mission is to unite, grow, and play by engaging the Denton community and investing in parks through advocacy, volunteerism, and investments.
With over 40 parks and trails, 25 playgrounds, 25 bridges, 20 pavilions, and 20 sports facilities, Denton Parks Foundation aims to ensure accessibility and a high-quality life for all residents. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Denton Parks Foundation is governed by a board of directors and collaborates closely with the Denton Parks and Recreation Department.
