Dependências is a Portuguese monthly publication dedicated to substance use, addiction and related social and health issues. Created through the initiative of communications professionals with a particular interest in social matters, it was presented as Portugal’s first periodical publication focused on addictions. The brand aims to inform readers through journalism, expert perspectives and scientific content, bringing together coverage of current developments and issues affecting people, communities and services.

Its website features news, interviews, scientific articles, videos and information about substances, alongside digital editions of the magazine. Topics include prevention, treatment, alcohol and drug use, public health, research and the work of organisations and professionals in the field. Dependências also shares selected news from Portugal and international sources, helping readers follow wider developments connected to drugs, alcohol and other social concerns. Readers can view the magazine online or subscribe to receive the printed edition at home each month. Through this mix of reporting, analysis and accessible resources, Dependências serves as an information platform for people interested in addiction and its broader social context.
