About Delaware Council on Gambling Problems
The Delaware Council on Gambling Problems (DCGP) is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to providing programs and services for problem gamblers and their families. Founded in 1979, our organization is comprised of compassionate individuals who have personal experience with problem gambling. Our mission is to raise public awareness about the treatability of gambling disorders and to establish a network of services for those affected by this issue.
DCGP offers a range of resources to assist individuals and their loved ones. We operate a 24/7 confidential helpline, accessible at 888-850-8888, and a texting service at 302-438-8888 (Monday to Friday, 9-5). Additionally, we provide professional training and outpatient treatment for problem gamblers in crisis.
Our team conducts public awareness presentations for various groups, including businesses, schools, and social service organizations. We work collaboratively with the gambling and casino industry to promote responsible gaming programs in Delaware. DCGP is also actively involved in research to generate reliable data on compulsive gambling.
