Flix is the professional name of a German cartoonist, comic artist, and storyteller whose work blends humor, imagination, and emotional insight. Through his website and online shop, he presents a diverse catalogue of comics, illustrated books, and fiction for adults and children. His stories range from literary adaptations, including Faust and Don Quijote, to original works such as Immerland, a coming-of-age fantasy adventure.
Flix also creates the popular Glückskind comic strip, published weekly in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, about a single father, his daughter, and their unusual companions. For younger readers, his Ferdinand stories, made with fellow artist Ralph Ruthe, combine comedy with accessible knowledge about technology, ideas, nature, and animals. Other projects include Spirou in Berlin, The Humboldt Animal, and collaborations on Superman and Lucky Luke.
The site features published titles alongside forthcoming releases, and offers visitors a way to contact Flix with questions, comments, or feedback about his comics and stories
