Derbyshire Soaring Club is a British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association-registered club based in the Peak District National Park. One of the UK’s largest clubs for these sports, it welcomes pilots at all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned veterans. Its flying sites include hills suitable for learning as well as locations with strong cross-country potential. Access is reserved for members, reflecting the club’s agreements with local farmers and landowners.

The club offers full and associate memberships, plus temporary membership for visiting pilots. Members can use the flying sites, connect through the club forum and social channels, and join regular gatherings, winter lectures, reserve repacks and a summer barbecue. Experienced coaches provide support to help pilots develop their flying. The club also shares practical information through site guides, webcams, airspace updates, safety reports and site records. News and events keep members informed about flying conditions, seasonal restrictions and club activities. With coaching, an experienced pilot community and a varied programme, the DSC supports safe, sociable flying in the Peak District.
