De Slegge is a fishing, dining and leisure destination in Ter Apelkanaal, in the heart of Westerwolde in the Netherlands. Set in a natural landscape, it welcomes beginner and experienced anglers, families, friends and groups seeking a relaxing day outdoors. Its five fishing ponds offer a variety of catches, including rainbow and salmon trout, gold and brook trout, Siberian and diamond sturgeon, catfish, carp and eel.
The dedicated experience pond features large fish, while the eel pond operates seasonally and recommends advance booking. Visitors may bring their own fishing equipment in line with the house rules; rod rental requires a reservation. Children under 12 may fish in the sturgeon and catfish pond only with adult supervision, and dogs are permitted on a leash.
The restaurant serves lunch, coffee and cake, drinks and dinner, alongside buffets and OFYR buffets, with food prepared fresh. De Slegge also offers fishing and dining arrangements for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries, and provides a welcoming stop for walkers and cyclists
