Desnível is a Portuguese nonprofit association founded in 1994 to promote and develop adventure sports connected with nature. Based in Cascais, it also supports environmental, social and cultural activities and has held Public Utility status since 2007. Its work brings together active, responsible members and encourages participation in training and the wider sharing of knowledge.

The association offers activities and instruction in climbing, mountaineering, alpinism, canyoning, caving, via ferrata and rope techniques. Its training centre provides courses and workshops designed to build practical skills and support safe, independent participation while respecting the environment. Desnível also organises guided outings and other events, including technical sessions, expeditions and climbing competitions, and has developed school sports activities in climbing and adventure racing.

For climbers, the association offers a practical guide to climbing that presents essential information in an accessible format for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Desnível is certified by Portugal’s Institute of Sport and Youth, and its overall approach emphasises education, safety and responsible engagement with the natural world.
