About Destination West Africa Project
Destination West Africa Project (DWAP) is an initiative that aims to promote interconnectivity, tourism, trade, and investment opportunities within West Africa. The project is led by The Goge Africa team, who have been advocating for cultural preservation and heritage promotion in Africa and the diaspora for over two decades.
Recognizing the gaps and challenges of traveling within the continent, DWAP seeks to lower the barriers and highlight West Africa as a choice destination. Through strategic collaborations with organizations and stakeholders, the project aims to bridge the gap in local tourism movement, interconnectivity, trade, and investment in the region and across Africa.
DWAP offers media and promotion tours, requiring permits for entry and filming, as well as full-board accommodation and local transportation for the team. The project also engages in media interviews with relevant authorities and organizations to raise awareness and garner support.
With a mission to close the gaps in interconnectivity within the West African sub-region, DWAP has an upcoming schedule that includes travel to countries such as Nigeria, Togo, Benin Republic, Ghana, and more. By advocating for travel and showcasing the cultural richness of the region, DWAP aims to create economic opportunities and foster rapprochement among African nations.
