IDEA, formerly Islamic Relief USA, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on protecting and empowering human potential. The organization says its name has changed, but its registration, teams, programs, and donation processes remain the same. It combines emergency relief with long-term development, aiming to address immediate needs while helping communities build resilience and opportunity.

Its work includes emergency response, food and water, healthcare, education and youth programs, livelihoods and enterprise, protection and belonging, and support for orphans and families. Development initiatives include education, climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable healthcare, and clean energy. In the United States, IDEA supports food banks, free clinics, and refugee services through local grantee organizations; it also works internationally.

Supporters can give Zakat, Fidya, or Kaffara; make one-time or recurring donations; sponsor a child or orphan; and direct gifts to particular programs or where needed most. IDEA also offers a Zakat calculator and invites people to volunteer, join its Disaster Management Team, or take part in other community efforts.
