About Devï Clothing
Devï is a slow fashion brand that embodies the spirit of women empowerment, ethics, and transparency. With a belief that fashion can be a catalyst for change, Devï is dedicated to creating a new way of living in harmony with people and the planet. The brand's journey began in February 2018 when the founder, Debbie Kirsch, embarked on an internship in Bhikamkor, a rural village in India. Inspired by the grassroots social enterprise Saheli Women, Devï was born as a collaborative project centered around women's voices and co-creation.
Devï's story is intertwined with Saheli Women, an organization that champions women's empowerment and provides fair living wages and safe working environments. By selling Devï products, the brand financially supports Saheli Women's efforts to bring sustainable development to Bhikamkor. Devï prides itself on co-creating unique clothing pieces using high-quality saris and leftover materials, resulting in one-of-a-kind garments. To minimize their environmental impact, Devï upcycles pre-existing fabrics and does not produce any new materials for their collections.
With a commitment to transparency and impact-driven practices, Devï aims to connect NGOs and artisans with a fair and international market, promoting fair working conditions and environmental protection. Join Devï in the fashion revolution and be a part of their inspiring journey towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.
