Deviation is an innovative open-source firmware project designed specifically for the Walkera Devo series RC transmitters. Launched in April 2012 and last updated in June 2016, Deviation offers a robust alternative to conventional firmware, allowing users to unlock enhanced functionality and flexibility in their RC devices.

The firmware supports a diverse range of models, including DEVO 6, 7E, 8, and 12, and is engineered to accommodate multiple communication protocols without requiring hardware modifications. Users can manage up to 255 models effortlessly, thanks to its USB drive-like functionality for easy configuration and file management.

Major features of Deviation include custom themes, intuitive configuration options, and support for additional protocols with minimal modifications. Safety is a priority; however, users are reminded of the inherent risks associated with RC flying and assume full responsibility for their models' operation. Notably, Deviation operates independently and is not affiliated with Walkera, ensuring a community-driven approach to firmware development and enhancements.
