De Vijfsprong

Urtica de Vijfsprong is a community-based care organisation and biodynamic farm in Vorden, the Netherlands. Inspired by anthroposophy, it connects wellbeing with nature, meaningful work and personal relationships. The organisation supports people with intellectual disabilities or psychological vulnerabilities through residential care, supported living, work opportunities and outreach guidance. Its farm is central to this approach, offering hands-on activities such as animal care, gardening and work in the dairy and craft workshops.

Urtica de Vijfsprong also produces and sells organic and biodynamic foods. Its farm shop is open six days a week and stocks everyday groceries alongside products grown or made on site, including dairy, biodynamically cultivated vegetables and packages of beef. The farm’s work reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, quality and respect for people, animals and the environment. Through its care services, agricultural activities and shop, Urtica de Vijfsprong brings together community life, practical support and responsibly produced food, while promoting a closer connection with nature.
