Devon RFU

Devon RFU is the governing and supporting body for rugby union across Devon, bringing together local clubs, players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and supporters. With a long-standing commitment to the county’s rugby community, it promotes the game from grassroots participation through age-grade development to representative competition, guided by values of teamwork, respect, and community spirit.

The organisation supports a wide range of rugby pathways and activities for men, women, boys, and girls. Its programmes include age-grade rugby, senior competitions, cup events, representative teams, and player development through its academy and performance development groups. Devon RFU also promotes inclusive and adapted forms of the sport, including deaf, wheelchair, walking, tag, and T1 rugby.

For clubs and individuals, the organisation provides practical information and support on coaching, refereeing, discipline, safeguarding, regulations, and club management systems. It shares county news, fixtures, results, events, and competition updates, and coordinates representative rugby across Devon. Through its partnerships, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives, Devon RFU works to help clubs thrive and make rugby accessible across the county.
