De Vullerfonds is a Dutch study-cost foundation established in 1883 by J.A. de Vuller, a former mayor of Gorssel. Its purpose is to help people meet the costs of studying at universities and other higher, secondary or vocational education institutions. The fund also presents an annual encouragement award to two people who have performed particularly well in their field of study. Recipients are preferably one man and one woman, and there is no age restriction.
Applicants who live in or were born in the municipalities of Lochem or Zutphen are given preference. Support may include an interest-free loan; in principle, the loan portion must be repaid after studies are completed, although repayment arrangements can be discussed with the foundation. Applications are made using the form available on the De Vullerfonds website, with specified supporting documents required for first-time applicants. The foundation generally announces its annual call for applications in regional newspapers around mid-June, including the submission deadline. Its website provides application guidance, conditions, procedures and annual reports.
