About DFG SPP ICDP
The DFG Infrastructure Priority Programme SPP 1006 “ICDP” supports German scientific participation in the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program, a global platform for continental scientific drilling. Its coordination office, based at Kiel University, coordinates and supports research activities at German institutes connected with ICDP projects. The programme addresses major Earth science topics, including geodynamic processes, geohazards, georesources and environmental change, and advances understanding of the Earth’s crust and past climate.
SPP 1006 provides support across the full lifecycle of drilling research.
