2007 gegründet, ist die DGNB heute Europas größtes Netzwerk für nachhaltiges Bauen. Ziel des Vereins ist es, Nachhaltigkeit in der Bau- und Immobilienwirtschaft zu fördern und im Bewusstsein der breiten Öffentlichkeit zu verankern. Mit dem DGNB Zertifizierungssystem hat die unabhängige Non-Profit-Organisation ein Planungs- und Optimierungstool zur Bewertung nachhaltiger Gebäude, Innenräume und Quartiere entwickelt, das dabei hilft, die reale Nachhaltigkeit in Bauprojekten zu erhöhen. Über die Fort- und Weiterbildungsplattform DGNB Akademie wurden zudem bereits mehr als 9.000 Personen in fast 60 Ländern zu Experten für nachhaltiges Bauen qualifiziert.

About DGNB German Sustainable Building Council

DGNB is Europe's largest network for sustainable construction, founded in 2007. The aim of the association is to promote sustainability in the construction and real estate industry and raise awareness among the general public. DGNB has developed an independent non-profit organization with the DGNB Certification System, a planning and optimization tool for assessing sustainable buildings, interiors, and neighborhoods.

This system helps to increase real sustainability in construction projects. Moreover, their DGNB Academy has qualified over 9,000 experts in sustainable construction in almost 60 countries through its training and further education platform.
