The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie e.V. (DGPs), or German Psychological Society, is a professional association representing psychologists working in research and teaching. Founded in 1904, it promotes the advancement and public understanding of scientific psychology. Its members investigate human experience and behaviour, publish research, teach, and contribute expertise to universities, public policy, and wider society.

The DGPs supports the psychology community through specialist sections covering fields such as clinical, developmental, social, health, educational, environmental, and media psychology, as well as neuroscience, psychological assessment, and research methods. It offers conferences, workshops, mentoring, early-career programmes, awards, and opportunities for professional exchange. The society also provides information about studying psychology and careers, and supports continuing education, including in legal psychology.

Its public-facing work includes expert resources, press communications, policy statements, recommendations, and guidance on topics such as open science, research integrity, artificial intelligence, and psychological support. Through these activities, the DGPs represents the discipline and encourages quality in psychological research, study, and teaching.
